In 2014, Young Artist Performances, Inc. (YAP), a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, was established with the mission: to nurture nationally acclaimed classical musicians as they prepare for performance careers. Our aim is to

provide them with a platform to showcase professional level repertoire, rarely available to the Hilton Head community. As these young virtuosi grace our stages, they also generate essential funds for their educational pursuits.

 

With over 60 performances, YAP has brought together more than 3000 patrons who have been captivated by the remarkable talents of 40 young musicians. The impact is undeniable, as both our audiences and the artists themselves have been deeply inspired by these shared experiences. And our alumni have earned more than $65,000 in direct support for their efforts.

 

YAP provides continuing professional support to many of our artists, including crowd funding,  grant writing, referrals, recommendations, and career counseling.  These efforts have resulted in our alumni receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional aid as well as their placement in top conservatories and professional positions.
